The Argentina 50 Australes Banknote is from the 1985-1991 Austral series which were designed specifically for the new currency the austral. The front side shows Bartolome Mitre the countrys 6th president. The back side shows a seated Liberty (Progreso) holding a torch and with a shield as well as the countrys coat of arms. The banknote is purple and measures 155 x 65 mm.
